Not sure but maybe $40k-$50k. 6 bedroom house, so lots of stuff, although maybe 3 of the bedrooms are furnished with Ikea stuff right now. Gradually accumulating nicer things but it's slow, and expensive..
|
| Probably around $25k, but it's been over 20 years. Mostly Ethan Allen pieces, with some rugs and pieces from one of the mid-level stores that used to be in Tyson's Corner (I think near where the Disney Store is now - totally forgetting its name). |
| 2BR apartment about 15K. |
| Probably $40k over 5 years, 6000 sq ft |
| Probably around $40k, over a few years - 5500 sq ft house |
| I have an old falling apart dining room table set we bought cheap when we were first married for about $300. I have wanted nice furniture for that room for a long time but never have the extra cash to get it done. I assume for table/chairs and a buffet it would be $5000. I would also like new livingroom furniture but I assume that is another $5000. My house will just continue to look shabby but clean! |

Less than 10K.
Not important to us. |
| About 10k but still need to furnish a bedroom and part of an office in a 4bedroom colonial. |
| Bought a 3br house last year. So far have spent $3500. Mostly nice quality stuff from craigslist or the local thrift store. Some from Amazon and Home Goods. Don't need anything more that's major, although I'd like to re-do kitchen. Already bought a large buffet heading in that direction. |
| I'n guessing most of these numbers are way off unless you actually keep track. |
That cant look good. Why do you want to live like that? My mattress cost more. |
| Maybe $15K? But we've inherited a fair bit of furniture. |
| $3500 poster here. I do keep track on Mint. |
I'm the 11/18/2104 12:48 poster and I do keep track, so my info is accurate. |
| My rough math, with window treatments, etc is between $150K and $175K - 7Br, 6Ba - 5500SF plus basement |
