Middle Schools?

As a parent of a child in the 5th grade at Two Rivers Public Charter School, I would highly recommend it. They have extremely educated, hard-working, friendly, approachable, dedicated teachers, administrators, and school staff. The elementary school is a very welcoming learning space and the middle school building is being built as we speak and on track to open in June of '09. The preschool and pre-k waiting lists are enormous but they taper down for the older grades. The school currently goes through 7th grade and next year will add 8th grade. There have even been rumors of a high school and I can tell from personal experience, if that school decides to do something, it will happen!

Their lottery closes on March 30th - I think. Check out the website www.tworiverspcs.org .

I'm a parent of a kid at Washington Latin for middle school. We've loved it. You don't get fancy facilities (although the British School is nice), and Latin isn't everybody's first choice. But if you are happy with the facilities and the classics focus (and we are), this is a great school.
