dumbest parenthood ever

I can't get into the Joel/Julia storyline because her acting is so superficial. She's not coming across as that heartbroken about Joel and she doesn't seem particularly connected to the new guy. The whole thing was silly, starting with Joel's overreacting to the kiss and moving out.

That's what happened to me with Gray's Anatomy. Just stopped watching it cold turkey. I just couldn't stand Meredith and Christina anymore. So much angst and overacting.

I still like Parenthood. My favorite characters are Camille and Sarah.

I thought the acting has been decent. The writing has been pathetic.

So, I really don't get how people are so outraged by the contrived storylines this season. I mean, if you didn't know that Joel and Julia would get back together in some cheeseball way, what show have you been watching?

This.

Because the actress is about 35? That's what bugs me.

I'm just now watching it. As a parent to a kid with ASD, I found the scenes with Max and Amber heartbreakingly realistic.

Do we know that Julia doesn't have that other guy over her house still? That would put a damper on Joel.

Adam didn't quit the sneaker factory. He was laid off.

Thanks PP - I wondered about that actually. The scene was so intense that I was curious as to how accurate it was.

Agree, looking at IMDB there are 24 different writers listed and 25 different directors.

Then how on earth did she earn a BFA in 2011? Did she skip high school?

From IMDB: After leaving her hometown of Pensacola, FL, she received her BFA at the University of Florida before moving to Los Angeles in 2011.
