I can't remember a time, since I was a teen, when that show wasn't part of my weekend. I'm from Boston too, so they always felt a bit like family. Such a loss.

Their accents, wittiness, humility, laid back demeanor.... remind me of home.....

Very sad. Used to listen to them with my dad - who also passed away from complications of Alzheimer's.

OP here. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

The surviving Magliozzi brother has been behind the continued broadcast of the show for the last 2 years and he is supportive of future broadcasts of it.

Of course, I agree that the truly sad part is that there will be no new shows. I believe a big part - probably the biggest part - of the magic in the show was the brothers' interaction with each other; it was never really a show about cars.
