| Sorry OP- hugs to you, the loss of a beloved pet is so hard. Trying to remember the good things and the life they lived is helpful but still tough when the wound is so fresh. |
| Our dog passed suddenly in February and I miss her all the time - and we still have another dog. He's bigger and she was small and cuddly so I miss having her in my arms. The kids talk about her all the time and I just have these pangs where I can't believe she's gone... it's so hard. I feel for you, OP. If we didn't have our other dog we would have probably gotten a new dog by now. They certainly don't replace your old dog but it does help fill the space in your house that's empty. |

Sorry, OP. I feel for you.
I know what it's like - have been missing my two beloved cats lately - so, so much. |
| OP here. Thanks everyone. I hesitated to put my feelings out there but am glad I did. I feel a little bit better. Hugs to all of you who are almost missing your beloved friends today. |

I am 30 and still get wistful thinking about my childhood dog we had from when I was about 8 to 20. He was approx a 3 year old dog with heart-worms when we got him, but he bounced back and lived a full life.
I was an only child who moved around a lot, and I really bonded with this dog. It's definitely a real loss and you're only one month out. And getting another dog will never replace your old dog, but furry snuggles of help you feel better! |
