| OP again--thanks for the encouraging notes. I'll write an update after the TWW. |
| Hi all, it's OP. POAS this morning and BFN. 11dp5dt. I always knew this was the probable result but I'm sad and frustrated nonetheless. We've depleted our savings and our emotional reserves at this point so we will likely take a break before we decide on doing one more cycle or not. (We are fortunate to have partial coverage for one more IVF-PGD cycle.) |
| I'm so very sorry to hear it. Best to you. |
| I'm so sorry OP. |
| I'm so sorry, OP. I know what this is like and I hope you will take very good care of yourself right now, emotionally and physically. Wishing you all the best. |
| OP again - I really appreciate all your support. |

Gosh what bad news. Sorry OP. I just had a frozen cycle and mine embryo thawed at 99%. When you've taken time for yourself and feel you are up for it, can you chat with your RE or research independently to find out if your 3 bad thawing outcomes are related to your embryos and fertility or could possibly be related to the clinic (either their low standards for freezing or maybe not up to snuff vitrification processes or embryologists)? I think this would be important to know. If you get back on the horse after some time, it may help direct your next steps or path.
Again so sorry for the bad news. I hope this isn't the end of the story for you. Often times it feels like it is but a happy ending still is off over the mountain, unseen from here. |

OP again- the first FET was left over from a fresh cycle in 2011 in Boston that used slow freeze so I wasn't too surprised that the embryo didn't survive.
Now I'm at SGF and I've heard they have 95%+ thaw rate, and also only freeze high quality embryos through vitrification. RE says it's embryo quality... although fresh cycle in 2011 resulted in DD. I'm 36 so egg quality shouldn't be that bad, right??? Taking a break over the holidays to recouperate and reassess. |

Shouldn't be, but can be. I would think that your other tests would reveal that, like AMH and FSH. Even so, you've got a good egg in there. It just may take a lot (even possibly too much) to get to it.
I was at SG too. I'd say they are top notch in terms of freezing standards and lab skill, so shouldn't be them. Did the embryo that resulted in your fresh cycle success look brilliant (A quality?) or was it iffy as well? Yes, take a break and breath and rest and reassess. Best wishes. |

I have a pre-FET anxiety of some sort, so I came here. I have two frosty and I was so hoping to start my very 1st FET this month, but I was just told today that my level (of what?! not sure) is not good enough for FET that RE is postponing until next month, December 2014. Kind of disappointed that I will be one year older soooon.
I've actually had a bit of a complication right after egg retrieval that made me hospitalized straight from the procedure room to ER for 3 days. It appears my body hasn't fully recovered from the ordeal, so I guess I should wait until whatever the level returns to normal before FET. I hope the long wait is worth it. |
