12:48, I love that particular Goodwill! When my husband and I were first married, we lived in Silver Spring, and our perfect Sunday afternoon was a trip to Goodwill, Kosher Mart, and the Friends of the Library bookstore.

The Goodwill on Rte 50 in Arlington has a bunch of breadmakers. Hmmmm... tempting!

Unique on Viers Mill Road is no longer a great place to shop. The quality of merchandise has gone down since I first started going there 10 years ago, and the prices have risen steadily.

a coffee maker can be cleaned by running vinegar and water through it like you are making a pot of coffee. I don't know any cooking items where "real food" can get trapped. Not even a crockpot, it's two pieces and a lid which you can inspect with your own eyes.
