| We get shots. Fwiw, this is the first year the cdc has recommended the mist over the shot...coincidentally, there's a massive shortage of the pediatric shot. |
Yes, this is why my three year old got the mist - our pediatrician ran out of the shot. But happy news is that the mist was painless and she had zero reaction to the mist. I also got the mist because my doctor's office ran out of the shot as well and wasn't getting more until November. Didn't want to take my chances. I also had no symptoms following the mist. |
+1. This year's push to give mist to 2-8 yo is not about it being the best for them. They are just trying to conserve shots. |
| How do you go about getting one at cvs? Target? Do you make an appt or just walk up to the pharmacy? |
Just walk in. |

My kids just got the mist too since ped had no shots. My youngest didn't like the sensation so didn't breathe in afterwards, and I hope that's okay and it still worked.
That's not something I had to worry about with the shot. But they got mist on Monday and no side effects so far. |
this. we did the mist one year for my son, then age four i believe, he was sick less than a week later. really sick. i can't prove that it was the mist of course but it hasn't happened since with the following years being the preservative free shot. |
