Wells Fargo issuing a new debit card every 6 months?

I only use my debit card at the ATM. Have never gotten sent a new one unless it expires. I agree that this is based on where you are spending money.

It's not smart to use your debit card exclusively. Cash or credit for most purchases is best.

Or you could just open a free checking account with a bank that offers it and transfer money over. Why pay for something when you don't need to?

I have this exact issue with Bank of America. Hate it but it’s not worth a fight. I also have accounts elsewhere.
