Not that PP but my kids have a similar schedule, and according to them they like the extra ~20 minutes in the morning before school starts to handle routine business and get ready for the day in a relaxed manner. This is probably our fault since we raised them with the "15 minutes early" guideline as a pretty consistent thing... For half of Freshman year until partway through junior year (once the oldest could drive), I offered to drive them and have them get there a bit later, but was rarely taken up on this. Apparently it throws off whatever morning routine works for them. There's a ton of perfectly valid reasons a parent wouldn't drive the kids to school including work schedules, younger siblings, only one car or no car family, and the kids' own preference. Why so judgmental? |
