Almost no one in India seems to eat rice these days.
Quinoa, oats and various types of millet are all the rage now. There are plenty of recipes on the web. |
| I'm indian and typically cook dal & a vegetable side for dinner. We eat it either with homemade whole wheat chapati or quinoa when we want fewer carbs. I also make quinoa khichri at least once a week, you can use any khichri recipe and swap out the rice for quinoa. |
Not my experience. In South India people eat rice - and rice products - like there is no tomorrow. |
| Dear PPs - would you be willing to post a recipe for the ramja and the quinoa khichri? Please? I'm new to Indian cooking and would love to learn to make these. Thank you! |
PP Here's the video I follow. It's in Hindi though, but Sanjeev Kapoors website should have the recipe in English as well http://youtu.be/0ztYYAOcESo Would love the recipe for quinoa khichri |
