Absolutely. He is my rock and makes me want to be a better person. For example - he is better with the kids than I am. He is kinder and more patient. I try to mirror some of his parenting styles that really seem to work with our boys.

Married 13 years, together for 16.

Almost identical situation here, down to the timeline. My DH is amazing 28 years out. Four kids--only one still at home. Also my first love (and only sexual partner).

Well, you are right - it is almost identical here too. First and only love and only sexual partner - for both of us.

I adore him truly, madly, deeply. Been together for 25 yrs with a 7 yr old. It's different from prekid but having our one and only makes me appreciate him more b/c he's a wonderful dad too.

I love my husband very much, and am very glad I have him by my side.

He also drives me crazy sometimes, there are days when I deeply miss my single/easy/no obligation days, and days when I wonder why he wanted to be a parent when kids drive him so freaking crazy.

But I love him and we're in it together and for the long haul. I also think things will get easier/happier when we're out of the weeds of toddler/preschooler days. I hope the same will be true for you OP.

Yes, I do. We are going through a tough time right now, financially and emotionally, and I don't feel close to him like I used to. But I do love him and we are both committed to working through our problems.
