You can buy them in ripe and select a couple that are not as ripe and then buy the very green ones. This way you get a good supply without having to go to the store all the time. When they are beginning to get ripe, put them in the refrigerator.
I notice avocado cover with aluminum foil covering last longer than plastic saran wrap coverings. With pit, aluminum foil and lemon juice on top. Also, I use hummus or any bean spread. Or even tomato paste with spices, kinda like the Cava hummus/tomato paste ones in the stores. |
I've had very good luck with ones from my local Safeway(s). |
Get the costco ones from Mexico. The Perivuan ones are not nearly as good. |
