IEP at Lafayette/other DCPS

I'd the current special ed teachers at Lafayette were going to get fired for not being effective, they would have been kicked to the curb years ago. Everything is sunshine and roses at IEP meeting until the parents want to see the progress in in testing results. The numbers don't lie- these kids are going nowhere fast. Most of those kids are consistently NOT making the progress they COULD if proper programs were used. Good old Read Naturally is a joke. Why don't these teachers/schools get a proven program like Lindamood Bell or Lexia or Wilson. Keep drinking the cool and and counting your pension. Enjoy your conscience while these kids get kicked down the road.
