I bought sweet potatoes. I don't really like sweet potatoes. What should I make?

I did this. It's been 4 hours and nothing has changed, the sweet potatoes are still hard as a rock. Is there something missing in your instructions?

I think the goal of that recipe is to get the sweet potatoes out of your line of vision so you stop worrying about cooking them.

I only like sweet potatoes with something savory. Anything that makes them sweeter (like the dreaded marshmallows and OJ, or even a sprinkle of brown sugar) is a no go in my book. But, I'll happily eat them fried up with some hot sausage and some granny smith apples, or sliced, salted and roasted in the oven. I've read that they're really good baked with feta instead of butter, and that sounds good to me, but I haven't actually managed to buy SP's and feta on teh same grocery trip.

I just microwave them and add a pat of butter.

I used to bake them and stuff them with spinach and black beans. Now I roast them with salt, pepper, and olive oil then coat them with jalapeƱos and cilantro. Both ways are good and aren't too sweet.

I dice sweet potatoes and mix them with diced russet (or Yukon gold) and red potatoes. Then roast them. While I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes, especially overly sweet or sweetened, I find that mixing them with the other varieties of potato and the blend of flavors and textures works well.

You can cut the potatoes chunkier and make it a stew.
