Professional picture hanger

I had an awesome guy come and do a gallery of about 20 framed pictures I had. He did an amazing job, and I cannot find his name! If I can find it, I'll post back.

Consider Art and Mirror Hanging LLC (http://www.hang4u.com). I am an interior designer and have used their services many, many times always with wonderful results.

You lay down the pictures on the floor and arrange and rearrange to see how you think they should go together. Then you lay each picture down on brown craft paper (or in a pinch a newspaper) and outline them. Mark on the paper where the nail should go (probably need to stretch the wire in the back and measure how far it is from the top of the frame then measure down an equal amount on the paper). Cut out the outlines (and label if you need to distinguish one picture from another).

Then arrange the outlines on the wall using painters tape to attach them--you can fuss around with placement; if you're set on exact distances, you can bring out your ruler and measure instead of eyeballing. Nail through the spot you marked on the paper and tear away the paper. Hang the picture.

You are a genius. (I type this sitting in front of my fireplace that has a bunch of pictures leaned against the wall on my fireplace mantle.)

Alternatively, you can just use a ruler and pencil and calculator to hang things evenly. It IS time-consuming.
