Anaconda by Nicki Minaj just made me really sad

Please watch this video with the whole song edited with fart sounds. Please do it: http://www.bustle.com/articles/38986-nicki-minajs-anaconda-dubbed-with-only-fart-sounds-seriously-its-really-funny-video

Yes, I live in a house with all boys and I've learned that my survival depends on laughing at farts. So take my advice to watch this with that in mind

Is that you, K?
Oh my gawd, thank you! I opted to watch only this version of the video and it was worth it. Maybe it's because I've had two glasses of sangria, but I laughed so hard I cried.
I'm sure this version is much less offensive than the real one.

I saw an Ellen spoof this morning, and since I'd heard reference to the video a few times, I decided to google it. After watching about 30 seconds, I got really depressed. At about a minute, I had to turn it off.

1) she took a fun song from my youth (even if it meant the same thing, it wasn't nearly as hard-core) and turned it into a nasty, dirty experience.

2) I am so sad I'm going to have to shield my son from such graphic crap music and videos. Friday Night Videos and early MTV bring back great memories for both me and my husband. Is this played on MTV without any warnings or ratings?

3) what is this slippery slope (made slippery by coconut milk made to look like cum, I might add) that our world is on? Were our grandparents as appalled by Elvis' hips as I am by all this twerking stuff?

4) ok, I am a little sad my ass will never look juicy.

Call me grandma I guess, but I am really depressed and disturbed. (As evidenced by me posting about it 5 hours after watching...)

Have you see the fart remix?

The both used fruit on a mixing table to illustrate what they were talking about.

They both had female dancers shaking their bodies and slapping butts.

They were both sexually explicit.

They were both saying that black men like to have sex women with curves.

They were both pushing the envelope during the time of release.

I think we are just getting old.

Train up a child, OP. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Not the OP, but what does this even mean? I just saw the video and am HORRIFIED. Much too graphic. Did I mishear or does she say something like "I let him hit it because he slings cocaine" Gross.

Proverbs 22:7

It means that there are going to be horrible things your child is exposed to in life. But if you give them goo instruction, and show them the right things to do, when they are faced with making independent decisions, they will refer back to how they were first instructed.

I remember hearing this and my parents were horrified when I was young too. But it didn't influence or change my behavior or self respect. We were good girls with our head on straight -- it's not like being exposed to it made us desire those things. That's all. If you have taught your child, trust your teachings is all. Every environment isn't going to be as safe as home, but with the right knowledge and tools it doesn't have to feel so intimidating. This helps me when I see stuff like this and look at my infant daughter. I can't imagine what the version is going to look like for her 20 years from now. Maybe they will be completely naked and acting out a straight porn video. My hope is that she won't be swayed by things like that. Ever.

148,375,071 # of views. Is that 148 million? Kind of soft porn, but no one does it quite like Nicki Minaj

Not old, not a prude, but that is disgusting. It's one small step away from porn and has no place being readily accessible on the internet. Behind a paid firewall, sure. It's skanks on parade.

I'm fascinated by the video. Is her bee-hind real?

Thanks to the poster of the phrase (and the explanation). This made me feel much better about my child's future.

You wonder why girls and women have self image issues and men are disappointed when their 40 year old wife doesn't look like this.
