| Poor kids can't masturbate in peace in DC. Helicopter parents rushing them off to the doctors for a battery of tests. |
You wash your sheet after you masturbate?
|
| That's another reason why I believe the bed wetting story. |
| "son, I know that the conversation that will ensue may be a bit difficult or embarrassing. It does not need to be. I need to know whether you are truly wetting your bed or whether you are washing the sheets because you do not want us to stumble on other bodily fluids arising from the perfectly normal act of masturbation. If it is the former, we need to get you checked out as urinating in your sleep at this age could be a sign of a health concern that we need to get on top of immediately. If it is the latter, then I have purchased this bed liner, these 7 hand towels and this hamper for your exclusive use in your room. You may find that washing your own sheets and these towels once a week is a lot less work. From now on, cleaning your bedding is your responsibility. It is your private business as is cleaning your towels. I'll give you some time to think and bring this back up. If you do not, I will consider it resolved. If it is urine, please let me know so that we can check you out for type 1 diabetes and anything else and make sure you are well. I love you very much and either way there is absolutely nothing to be embarassed about." Done. Communicate. |

Please, please have him checked for tuberculosis, whooping cough, heart disease, kidney stones, flat feat, arthritis, impacted teeth, and four hour erections.
For the love of God you stupid moms the kid is cumming in his sleep. Its called a "wet dream". |
| I believe the DS. If it was just a wet dream, why is he washing his sheets every night? Unless of course OP is someone who obsessively washes everyone's sheets every day and thus would find the evidence he wants to cover up. Washing them every night would be indicative of pretty large output to the point it is very uncomfortable to stay in bed. I'd say something like, "You know wetting your bed can be indicative of some medical issues like diabetes. Perhaps you should have this checked out by Dr. X (the pediatrician)." I think you could pretty much tell from his response whether this was the wet dream thing or not. Shock at going--wet dreams; reluctance or agreement--something else. |
| I thought wet dreams were in younger boys? Like 11 to 14 maybe. Aren't 16 year olds done with that? |
|
I'm with the other posters. It's probably the awkward teen years, but get it checked out in case he's actually peeing the bed.
Could you just approach him directly- say that there if it's normal teen stuff going on- not to worry, and he doesn't need to talk about it if he doesn't want to. If he's genuinely having pee accidents, it's imperative that he gets checked by a doctor. |
|
I might ask husband / father to check in, if that's necessary.
He could leave it vague, as in Hey, your mom mentioned something about sheets today. Don't be embarrassed, I'm your dad and I'll talk fast, I promise.
Here's what happens sometimes. Don't worry, it won't happen forever, it's normal puberty stuff, everyone goes through it, even girls (except their bodies make it so it's not a mess to clean up). On the other hand, son, if it's urine, we should get it checked out because it might be x, y, or z. I'll leave it to you to tell me what's going on, okay? Remember, I'm here to help you. Nothing embarrasses me in any way. I'm a super ancient, old fart. |

My nephew has never stopped wetting the bed. He is 19. What should I suggest to his mom. She said the pediatrician was not concerned his last year with her at age 18.
Thanks! |
| If he has wet his bed not only will his sheets be wet but his bed too? Did you have a look at the mattress? It will be a bit wet. Also how about his clothes? Did he wash those too? Crummy oily stuff will likely be down while urine will have different Smells |
| My son used to masterbate into his snow pants because it is waterproof. Took me a while to figure why he needed to keep washing them! Till one day I found this sticky stuff inside as he forgot to start the washing machine! Kids! |
| Yeah. He doesn't want you to tell dad bc dad will know what is really happening and will tell you. He is totally not wetting the bed with urine. |
|
Good idea to give them a supply of condoms for masturbation purposes - though dads should be haing this talk.
I second Diabetes and sleep apnea. |
|
It could be wet dreams but every night? I doubt it. More likely the M. Though I am surprised why he did it on the sheets directly and not in his pants or underwear which is easier to wash?
Let your husband talk to him. Or to not "betray" the confidentiality he gave to you, stage a discovery by your husband the next time he is doing the laundry. |
