Montessori Classroom - 2 K, 10 4-yo, 10 3-yo, and 1 teacher 1 assistant?

YOu don't understand Montessori. There is no group learning.

I don't have much experience with it, you're right. But when we looked at a public Montessori last year with a similar age grouping, we were told they'd pool the older kids for reading while the little ones napped and that they'd try to work with them to get them up to par with reading. But I'm betting public montessori schools have to be a little different because they're beholden to state standards. And I assumed OP was speaking about a public.
