You can do frozen meatballs. You throw them in a Crockpot with Heinz chili or BBQ sauce and a jar of grape jelly. They're amazing and everyone loves them.

I love a good dip- seven layer, buffalo chicken. I typically bring the homemade Mac and cheese, homemade creamed corn, cream cheese stuffed bacon wrapped grilled jalapeƱos, or peach pie because everyone loves them. People also love deviled eggs but I get leery about letting them sit out on a table for a long event.

Two old school things that I make and are scrafed up quickly

deviled eggs

pigs in a blanket (beef or turkey hot dogs cut into three pieces and wrapped in a half of a crescent roll with a sprinkle of grated cheese, bake for 12 minutes) with good mustard

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned dessert. People always eat the homemade (not from a mix) brownies or chocolate cheesecake that I bring.

Also have a variant on Oreo truffles with vanilla Oreos. They are called redneck truffles. Delicious
