Actually Jenny McCarthy now agrees with you.

Think about that.

What about when the CDC admits it?

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4128611/

"Conclusions

The present study provides new epidemiologic evidence showing that African American males receiving the MMR vaccine prior to 24 months of age or 36 months of age are more likely to receive an autism diagnosis."

The CDC does not "admit it'.

Do you even know how to read a website? See that giant blue line on the left hand side of the page? The one that cites the name of the other journal that had the article? The CDC is just providing a link to another journal with had an article by a known anti-vaccine quack. He even cites Wakefield.

But their lead researcher does. Can you people even read?

"The CDC whistleblower who came forward earlier this week to admit that the CDC had covered up evidence that vaccines are linked to autism has been revealed as Dr. William Thompson. Dr. Thompson was a lead researcher and participant on several studies that were used by the CDC to supposedly prove that vaccines did not cause autism."

and now that cnn article has been flagged and removed...

OP - get over it. MMR does not cause Autism. We are done here!

Please home school your kids so you don't put the rest of the public at risk with your stupidity.

The article is back up. Why won't the CDC make a statement declaring it false?

Both of these posters are wrong. The CNN article leads off with the following disclaimer:

CNN PRODUCER NOTE CNN iReport is the network’s user-generated news community. This story was initially pulled for further review after it was flagged by the community. CNN has reached out to the CDC for comment and is working to confirm the claims in this iReport.

The linked article was generated by a user name bobbydee2014 who joined the forum the day that he wrote this "article". The proof is an uncorroborated vimeo video and a link to a wordpress blogger whose only evidence is that Dr. Thompson was escorted off the CDC campus. I find it odd that it has been 4 days and CNN has not confirmed this article. I would think that if Dr. Thompson was linked to those comments and that he was escorted off the CDC campus, that the CDC would have a spokesperson from the public relations office with a statement confirming or denying the fact.

So far, it may or may not be true, but right now it is reading like supermarket tabloid writing rather than journalistic research.

The vaccine theory has been discarded. Researchers are now thinking it may be the age of the dad's sperm.

I'm not sure why the cdc isn't saying something.... seems like it would be easy to refute if they did

There's a variety of factors, but IMO it's a mix of the toxins we're exposed to daily (environmental, chemicals, pesticides, food additives, etc) that are triggered by something in the shots.

Side note, I received my Hep B booster 2 years ago and recent blood work showed I was not immune. They assumed I had lied about the last time I got the shot. I've heard the same thing from a close friend regarding dtap. She got it while pregnant but blood work when her child was born showed she was not immune.

Plus millions have been paid for vaccine injuries (including children with autism), so I think it's naive to believe vaccine's have nothing to do with it. I don't think it's the sole culprit, but it's most likely a contributing factor.

I'm guessing the CDC has better things to do than respond every single time some nutjob posts a blog piece about vaccines.

August 27, 2014 Press Release, “Statement of William W. Thompson, Ph.D., Regarding the 2004 Article Examining the Possibility of a Relationship Between MMR Vaccine and Autism”
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-AUGUST 27,2014

STATEMENT OF WILLIAM W. THOMPSON, Ph.D., REGARDING THE 2004 ARTICLE EXAMINING THE POSSIBILITY OF A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MMR VACCINE AND AUTISM

My name is William Thompson. I am a Senior Scientist with the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, where I have worked since 1998.

I regret that my coauthors and I omitted statistically significant information in our 2004 article published in the journal Pediatrics. The omitted data suggested that African American males who received the MMR vaccine before age 36 months were at increased risk for autism. Decisions were made regarding which findings to report after the data were collected, and I believe that the final study protocol was not followed.

I want to be absolutely clear that I believe vaccines have saved and continue to save countless lives. I would never suggest that any parent avoid vaccinating children of any race. Vaccines prevent serious diseases, and the risks associated with their administration are vastly outweighed by their individual and societal benefits.

My concern has been the decision to omit relevant findings in a particular study for a particular sub group for a particular vaccine. There have always been recognized risks for vaccination and I believe it is the responsibility of the CDC to properly convey the risks associated with receipt of those vaccines.

I have had many discussions with Dr. Brian Hooker over the last 10 months regarding studies the CDC has carried out regarding vaccines and neurodevelopmental outcomes including autism spectrum disorders. I share his beliefthat CDC decision-making and analyses should be transparent. I was not, however, aware that he was recording any of our conversations, nor was I given any choice regarding whether my name would be made public or my voice would be put on the Internet.

I am grateful for the many supportive e-mails that I have received over the last several days.
I will not be answering further questions at this time. I am providing information to Congressman William Posey, and of course will continue to cooperate with Congress. I have also offered to assist with reanalysis of the study data or development of further studies. For the time being, however, I am focused on my job and my family.

Reasonable scientists can and do differ in their interpretation of information. I will do everything I can to assist any unbiased and objective scientists inside or outside the CDC to analyze data collected by the CDC or other public organizations for the purpose of understanding whether vaccines are associated with an increased risk of autism. There are still more questions than answers, and I appreciate that so many families are looking for answers from the scientific community.

My colleagues and supervisors at the CDC have been entirely professional since this matter became public. In fact, I received a performance-based award after this story came out. I have experienced no pressure or retaliation and certainly was not escorted from the building, as some have stated.

Dr. Thompson is represented by Frederick M. Morgan,Jr., Morgan Verkamp, LLC, Cincinnati, Ohio, www.morganverkamp.com.
