Is this an allergic reaction? What should I do?

Anonymous
My allergist always asks that we wait around in the waiting room for 15 minutes after the shot just to make sure I'm not having a reaction. One time after about 10 minutes I sneezed a few times and the nurse literally came running, afraid I was having a reaction. (I wasn't). I am no doctor but I think us allergy people can have allergic reactions at the damnedest times. They think my last bad one was either an allergy to cold or exercise (had been running outside in 20 degree wind chill). Wound up with itching all over and swollen face. Had to start carrying epi pen after that one.

I have an appt. for the dr. (they wanted me to come in today but I couldn't make the time at work). They agree that it was an allergic reaction.

I just don't understand why this is happening now.

How is it your work can dictate where you receive medical treatment if it's within the scope of your insurance policy? (Or not if you pay out of pocket)

It's free at work during clinic hours. Because of, I assume, liability they will no longer give me shots there.
