An electrified fence, but it may also cost you a mailman or two. |
Between you and the get the dogs off the lawn people, and the get the dogs out of the park people, and the get the dogs off the sidewalk people, and the stop the dogs from approaching me people, and the stop the dogs from approaching my kids peoples - - pray tell, where would you like us to walk and exercise our dogs? The moon? |
Now , how do you get a dog to stop peeing on a fence |

I'm pretty confused and you're unhinged. Dog pee doesn't smell outside like human pee does. I lived in a dog condo where every condo had 2+ dogs= no piss smell outside.
You could be the ass who posts the "No dog pee" sign next to your mailbox? Then again, it's not even your property and it's in the median. |
Keep your animal waste on your own property. Feel free to walk your dog on a short leash on the sidewalk. If you can't afford property sufficient for an animal, you shouldn't have a pet. |
As a rescue volunteer and owner of multiple dogs, I've never noticed a smell with dog pee. Cat pee smells bad. Maybe it's an outdoor cat peeing near the mailbox? |
As if you can control a dog's pee. They pee to mark, not because they have to go. My dog pees on cement only. I always feel bad that she is peeing on the sidewalk. She won't go on grass at all. Not sure which is worse. |
This. My money is on some other outdoors animal as the culprit. |
+1 - we were blaming the neighbor's dog and it was the cat. Cats overmark dogs all the time and it is gross. |
Great idea! Let me go purchase a cork for her anus and a catheter for her bladder. |
Trolling trolls troll.

The lack of respect for another person's property by at least one disgruntled dog owner on this thread is disturbing. I have had this same problem with people walking their dogs by my property and allowing them to pee on my mailbox and landscaping around the perimeter of my property. I spend time and money (not to mention the taxes I pay) to make my property look nice. I don't appreciate you letting your dog use it as his/her personal toilet. When I work on my landscaping, I don't want to be putting my hands into your dog's poop or pee. Why don't you curb your dog on your own property? If you see your dog stopping to do it's business on my property, give the leash a yank and train your dog not to do these things. I see too many dog owners just simply stop walking and idly watch their animal while it messes on my mailbox or landscaping. How about I come to your house and piss on your mailbox or where your kids might play? Don't want that? Now you know how I feel. |
I just don't understand this. Dogs need to walk daily and they need to go. curbing your dog on a property is cruel to the dog. You can't toilet train your dog and unless there's a designated dog poop and pee area in your neighborhood, you just have to deal with it. Honestly, I get the frustration when dog owners have those long leashes and let their dogs go way into other people's property to pee, but you're complaining about them peeing around the perimeter of your property? that's insane. If dogs peed on the sidewalk, that means other people are stepping in urine and bringing that into their houses. pee on grass and dirt and bushes goes into the ground. it doesn't pool on top where you're digging your hands into it. that's just nuts. |
I usually send my dog to pee on no dog signs. |
