I think her point is that a regular pointed heel will cause problems sinking into the grass as we walk. Thank you for the suggestions. Sounds like nude, or even silver, might be the way to go. I hadn't thought of metallics as an option.

Woah, OP, I could have written your post - right down to the outdoor wedding / no spike heels thing. I'm looking for a nice pewter or dark silver color, flat or wedge. So far I've found these:

Gold! We paired them with navy BM dresses for my wedding - looks very nice, especially for evening weddings and those in fall/winter months.

Oh please. Its much more tacky and passe to dictate shoes for your attendants than it is to wear different shoes!

i would go for fuschia! have some fun, live it up. and no one will be looking at your shoes anyways, they will be looking at the bride.
