Married at First Sight

Personally, I find both Vaughn and Monet immature and oversensitive. It's both their faults.

I have to say I was very taken with Jamie and Doug. But I was a bit shocked when I Googled Jamie on line. She has a whole website devoted to herself and her qualifications to be a TV star. Apparently she appeared on both The Bachelor and Jerseylicious previously. Is this a publicity stunt for her?

I'm watching the second episode now.
Cortney knew her job was ending. She was given notice. Why hasn't she looked for a new job? If she's been at home all day, why isn't she working towards making their apt more into a home by cleaning and organizing it? I feel for her with Jason's crazy schedule, but come on. What is she doing all day?

I skip over all the Monet scenes. Don't care about her.

Not sure about my feelings on Jamie and Doug.

I really liked watching Jamie and Doug's relationship evolve in the original series and I felt for her with her family baggage but she seems like she's trying way too hard this season to play cutesy for the cameras. It just doesn't seem genuine.

Jamie now seems like a real actress to me.

Could be the editing.

Which part could be editing? True, she could be looking for a job when cameras aren't around. I'm not saying the wife has to be the one to turn the apt into a home, but she seemed to be more bothered by it then Jason.

Cortney seems to have fallen into the trap of building her entire life around Jason when she was interesting before because she was happy and she wasn't all about Jason. She needs to get her sparkle back. This is the perfect time for her to be doing burlesque and throwing herself into the job thing. Instead of saying "Let's think about it Monday" the two of them could have made a plan together for her to job seek. They seem to have become mired in passivity.

Cortney could be job searching and the cameras decided not to show it.

Didn't she say at one point the reason she was losing her job is because of this show? I know, her excuse to Jason was the company wanted new blood.

No, she said it was because she wasn't at work as much. It almost sounded like she wasn't going because she wanted to spend time with Jason?
Agree with a PP -- she gave up burlesque, gave up makeup, gave up pretty much everything. Jason didn't ask her to....she just thought that's what a good wife does.

Thoughts on last week's episode?

I get less and less interested as times goes on. Everything seems manufactured. Jamie suddenly pops up with the idea that Doug has to call Vaughn and reach out to him. Why does this feel about as spontaneous as a moon launch? Jason's near miss with wrestling was the same. Cortney now seems hopelessly immature with her "I can go home for Thanksgiving and you can't stop me" routine.

This show now seems scripted and reminds me of Dance Moms.

Also, Doug now claims that he and Jamie did not have sex until two months after the initial phase ended???

Especially considering Cortney came from a family of firefighters. She seems very immature. When they talked about him working, my first thought was "why can't they celebrate Friday?" And when Jason suggested it, she was a brat and said she was going home. I also don't like how she reacted when Jason correctly pointed out her debt.
This isn't meant to be a hate on cortney post. I do like her....she just seems very young.

The Jamie and Doug thing is just awkward. I don't want to see into their bedroom life. I don't want to hear him talking about getting a semi while they cuddle on a couch in a furniture store.
