What are you looking at? You are going to a restaurant? Most of the meals I see are between 500-800 calories, which for a restaurant meal (which for many is their splurge place) is reasonable.

6 salads under 500 calories.

Are you the 1000 calories a day poster?

How about some of the Peruvian style chicken places?

Bonchon. Delicious. Not low calorie as the wings are the best.

I LOVE Cava Mezze, but they don't have highchairs and only have hightop tables, which aren't appropriate for young toddlers. Because of this, I don't go with my kids.

It's not all "extraordinarily" high in calories. But regardless, they've been really good about doing special order stuff when I've asked for it. My favorite recently has been the roasted veggie wrap, which I order with no couscous, and then I add chicken. I eat it out of the wrap with fork and knife. More protein, lower carbs, very filling.

But I do agree that I wish there were more places that are both kid-friendly AND have multiple healthy options on the menu! I wish there were more healthy options on menus, period.

Anyway, most of our favorite places to go with our toddler have been mentioned. Chipotle, Moby Dick, sushi. BBQ places sometimes work well. We love Guapos at Rio for the noise level (inside) or sitting outside.

Indian buffet restaurants. Quick food and even picky eaters will usually eat bread and tandoori chicken.

OP here. Thanks for all the ideas. Hopefully we will have more "hits" than "misses" with them.

Not as convenient as the fast casual places mentioned above, but we have had luck with Silver Diner. And my kids can be picky eaters.
