Skip if dining with kids who aren't foodies. Also, at least last year, they had no GF options to speak of. I like Mamma Lucia's, Ledo's, Flippin' Pizza, and ZPizza. |
| Dogfish has awesome wood fired pizza. |
My kids are picky as can be. We ate there last Saturday and they all loved it, even the 3 year old. |
+1 |
| Love Pacci's, and also a big fan of DaMarco in Bethesda. Good gelato at the latter as well. |
I'm glad your kids loved it. My kids, who I think of as average-kid-picky, did not like the charred crust of the stone oven baked pizzas there. I enjoyed it a lot, but will not bother taking my kids back there. A date-night spot in my book. YMMV. |
| just cross the boarder into pg and eat at the original ledo's restaurant in college park. you won't regret it. |
| Pizza CS |
| My kid loved Pacci's and you can eat outdoors, which always makes a place particularly kid-friendly in my book. Mia's is what Todd Kliman recommends but we haven't been yet. |

In the 20 years I've lived in Montgomery County, I think one of the top 5 WORST meals I've had was at Zio's.
Pizza CS is great!!!! |
| Underwhelmed by Petes, and Gepettos is not good. Would say the same about Flippin. Matchbox ok but can be a long wait. Damarco (in Bethesda) and Pacci's (where I have not been) are both supposed to be authentic Neopolitan. Can vouch for Damarco which is my favorite in the area. Haven used to be decent but has gone down hill. |

Haven got bought back by the original owner and is reopening as pittze or something like that.
I like Pete's. Mia's and Damarco are pretty good but not cheap. |
If you're crossing the border into PG, then it's only a couple of minutes further to go to the original Three Brothers in Beltway Plaza. While I love the pasta and sandwiches at Ledo's and we eat there regularly, I don't really like their pizza and I think Three Brothers makes much better pizza. So sad the the oldest of the three brothers just past away last week. |
