Wasn't Melissa Kim in her late 20s when she became principal at Deal?
|
I am looking at her resume right now and there is nothing about being an AP at CHEC. |
So you have an outdated resume. Get a more recent one. Fixed. |
Good one! |
I have one that was provided to me in the principal selection process. Seriously doubt it's outdated. |
Ok, well she is having a meet and greet at Oyster next week. Why don't you come and publicly confront her about being a former AP? |
![]() Like I said, I hope she does well. It would be great if she is the next Melissa Kim. I just don't think she is there yet. I don't feel a need to confront her about it--she was honest on her resume; I think DCPS is just trying to make her seem more experienced in the press release. She will either do well or she won't; she has the experience she has. I don't think she is ready to lead any DCPS and was very clear about that; I hope to be proven wrong. I wish her the best of luck in what is a very tough job. |
Ok, so now you can move on. |
She's brown not Asain/white so there's no faith behind her leaderships. Figures. |
It looks like she has more experience than both Henderson and Rhee. Maybe she should be chancellor! |
This! |
So you were on the parent panel and now regret the unanimous recommendation? Or are you one of the teachers who is nervous because you may be subject to more oversight by someone who's younger but more professionally qualified than you? It is irresponsible of you as a panel member to discuss the processes, even anonymously. Watch your step because O-A is not that big a school. Those who leaked the hire have already been identified. If you're smart, you'll keep your head down and hope she isn't vindictive like Ibis. As to CHEC for god's sake, yes she was AP. For all you know DCPS recruiters had an updated one, but didn't bother to use it. It's not the applicant's responsibility to personally deliver resumes. Like PP said, move on or go to a different school. |
She has the qualifying experience that was needed for the job. Her experience qualified her for the job and the interview with the panel solidified her appointment. If her experience was such a "blister" it would've have burst in front of the panel. If it took a reading of one's resume to determine that they were not experience then the egg is on your face. What is it, don't judge a book by its cover??? Read on. |
. You are either a panel member and flat out lying or you were on the panel and missed the first item under professional experience. Lame. |
Really? I don't believe for one moment that you "hope she does well." It sounds as if you hope that she fails...and you want to do your part by spreading nasty rumors on DCUM. You sound like a real peach ![]() |
