DC Parking Ticket and Relocation Tow - Anyone have this happen?

Contesting tickets is absolutely worth the time and effort. In DC it is easy and can be done online.

I just recently got the verdict back on a ticket I contested: I never saw the ticket and got hit with a late fee. The late fee notice was mailed to me which is how I figured it out at all. I just explained that I never got the ticket and would be happy to pay the $45 fee for the original offense but could they waive the late fee. They concluded I was liable for the original ticket (I was) but waived the late fee.

No numbers to back this up but I've heard that almost all contested parking tickets are dropped.

Your own experiences doesn't prove your point so it is an odd statement to make.

I contested two tickets just like the prior poster did. It was really easy and I won both times. Not sure why that is any more odd than people claiming not to bother contesting a ticket because it is hard when it’s actually really easy.
