Anyone else have 4th degree tearing with prior pregnancy?

OP, please consult with a midwife about your chances for tearing with this delivery. You really owe it to yourself to at least schedule a consultation. If you think the midwife you meet with is incompetent or unskilled or too lax or whatever - than fine, you certainly don't need to hire her for your delivery. However, I think you would be shocked and amazed at the different advice and service she would give to you. You could start by interviewing Whitney Pinger at Washington Hospital Center.

The only Dr. I would recommend at VHC is Dr. Tchabo. I recommend him because he is usually so accommodating and reassuring to women. However, the one thing that he does more than other docs is episiotomy - so I don't think he would be a good fit for your particular issue.
