I saw this one. I did like it but I wouldn't say it was jaw dropping or stayed with me. I also like the BBC version - more true to the book.

Dream Child is one of my all-time favorite. It's about Lewis Carroll and slower paced than a lot of the others mentioned above but so great.

Also, Grand Illusion and The Rules of the Game (both French)

I re watched the Black Stallion as an adult. When I was a kid I thought it was boring but now...wow! The cinematography is fantastic and the images really stayed with me.
