If its these guys, call a professional. They will track you down by your breath and sting the s out of you.

Got one of these hornet's nest in my tree. Terminex is coming out tomorrow for $215. I have young kids so I have to get rid of it.

We had a bald-faced hornets' nest on our house one year, up by the roof. Nobody got tracked down by their breath. Nobody got stung.

Probably because you left it alone. I'm guessing the PP meant if you disturbed the nest, they'd come get you.

Wasps are good polinators and prey on bothersome insects that will screw with your plants. If they aren't bothering you, why get rid of them.

Now yellow jackets, OTOH...nasty fuckers that can sting over and over without dying. I hope the PP who got stung executed those fuckers. HUMANS FIRST!

OP again. I ended up warpping saran wrap around it and leaving it overnight with the intention of addressing it later. That was a few weeks ago....kind of just left it there. I think they are dead now!

I dont like to kill things unless I have to...So I feel kind of guilty about it. But it was just too close to our main entrance.

Im going to see about getting some better cover...
