What recent movies do you recommend?

I saw him on Oprah and he looked better than he did in the movie. Certainly not as hot as he used to look, but better. It almost seems like in the movie, they may have used makeup or prosthetics to make his face look more disfigured...

I recently put The Wrestler on our Netflix list (when it comes out, that is). But then I also heard on NPR that it's a violent movie. I'm not good with really violent movies. They really bother me. As one example, I recall I had to walk out of the theater for Kill Bill because I just didn't get the purpose of watching all that senseless violence. Should I take The Wrestler off our list?

If I read the book "The Reader" will I still like the movie?

I've seen all of these movies lately (before my baby arrives!), and "Milk" was the one that surprised me the most - so entertaining, interesting, moving, educational, etc. Excellent performances.

I saw the Reader and believe that although I have not read the book (yet) that it probably was a better book than movie - but still worth seeing for kate Winslet's performance.
