The Fall (Netflix)
Sherlock |
The Killngs, the original Danish version. Very dark.
The Bridge, the Swedish/Danish one. Spiral, French cop show. Wallander True Detective |
+1 on Orphan Black. AMAZING show. I share your taste in shows and really loved this one.
Just posted above about this, too: Just finished Fargo. SO GOOD. But if you're looking for something you don't need to concentrate on quite so much, you might try some of the USA Shows - White Collar, Psych, Monk, Burn Notice, etc. Those shows are so dumb, but so easy to watch one after the next, without really having to pay attention. Great home sick with the flu viewing. Bones is another I'd put in that category. Feel better! |
+1 for Fargo. Amazing.
Someone also recommend Halt & Catch Fire. Not so sure about that. I'm finding it pretty slow and I wouldn't describe it as particularly "dark". |
Someone also recommended Downton Abbey, and that's not particularly dark either. |
Justified. Dialogue is quick, smart, funny. Timothy Oliphant is easy on the eyes, too! |
Walking Dead |
Also, Rectify, it's on Sundance |
FARGO!
Best show since Breaking Bad. You won't be disappointed. You can find it On Demand. |
+1 It is so good. The cast and location setting is great, too! |
Six Feet Under was my favorite until The Wire. I thought that was the best series ever (although i not a big TV watcher, i have seem at least some episodes of most of the popular series last decade or so ... The Wire is a standout in my op |
