How do you do a long car ride with a dog in the summer?

Pack a doggie bowl, a bottle of water, a sandwich and a piece of fruit.

You can eat your food while driving. For 8 hours you can stop at hour 4 in the parking lot of a drive thru, run in to pee, go back with the dog and let it out to pee, then give it a drink before doing the second half of the trip.

When you take a break, first walk the dog, give him water and give him food in the car. While he is eating, quickly go pee and come back.
