| I think prices will drop because DC people looking to move from the congestion of a row to a single family are likely families with kids. That's my situation. The school situation matters. BTW- I'm in DCI feeder and am still concerned about feeder schools for resale value. |
Then it might be a good time to invest. Get a good deal (pun intended), and sell high when there's a functioning middle school at MacFarland. |
This has some merit. I think prices will drop (not much). Then I think it'll pick up when the middle school is legitimized. |
OK, I have to ask... did Abigail Smith mysteriously sell a bunch of property in Crestwood last year? Is she going to buy again in a few months once people there are thoroughly freaked out? Shoot. I need to get a job as DME. |
| The prices will not go down. Many people in Crestwood buy planning to send their kids to private. There are a lot of families planning to send their kids to DCPS also. Lovely homes on the edge of Rock Creek Park will always keep their value or go up. |
If you truly think there will be a bump from a new middle school, buy in Petworth, which is much cheaper than Crestwood. |
