Crestwood. New Proposal means no Deal/Wilson. Real estate drops?

I think prices will drop because DC people looking to move from the congestion of a row to a single family are likely families with kids. That's my situation. The school situation matters. BTW- I'm in DCI feeder and am still concerned about feeder schools for resale value.

Then it might be a good time to invest. Get a good deal (pun intended), and sell high when there's a functioning middle school at MacFarland.

This has some merit. I think prices will drop (not much). Then I think it'll pick up when the middle school is legitimized.

OK, I have to ask... did Abigail Smith mysteriously sell a bunch of property in Crestwood last year? Is she going to buy again in a few months once people there are thoroughly freaked out?

Shoot. I need to get a job as DME.

The prices will not go down. Many people in Crestwood buy planning to send their kids to private. There are a lot of families planning to send their kids to DCPS also. Lovely homes on the edge of Rock Creek Park will always keep their value or go up.

If you truly think there will be a bump from a new middle school, buy in Petworth, which is much cheaper than Crestwood.
