No shit! Amazing that my dog is more well behaved than the OPs snot nosed filthy little brat. |
+1!!! Children are actually very scary for a dog!!! They're overly excited (especially if they have a dog hating mom like OP), rough, louder than adults, and they usually run up to dogs. Running is worrisome to a dog that isn't used to children (adults rarely run inside unless something is wrong). My dog is so patient with children and I know that he's not a fan, but tries to be nice. He's way more interested in the senior citizen set than children. |
Only to annoy people like OP. I have two friends who don't like dogs. One I keep our dog away from her and her family - even though her kids LOVE dogs. And the other I intentionally don't hold back. Only because she's a bitch. |
it could be a cultural thing to.
White people love dogs more than almost anything else in the world. other ethnicties/racies, not so much |
Some other cultures, especially in Asia, love dogs even more than white people do. Just not in the same way. *burp* |
+1. I live in a very Arab building and my middle eastern neighbors will cross the street if my well trained dog is on their side of the street. One told me that dogs are considered unclean and they must purify themselves if a dog licks them. While I do agree that whites love their dogs more than other races seem to, I've had many black and Hispanic friends that loved their dogs too! |
Why is a dog coming up to sniff/slobber on you, somehow more acceptable than a squirrel or raccoon or other animal coming up to sniff you? I don't mind dogs, but owners should not make their animals be someone else's burden. |
An approach I find works is "Please don't let your dog approach me or my child. Thank you. (smile)" Continue. |
Let me guess. OP is Asian. |
Love when the dog goes straight for the crotch and takes a deep sniff. |
|
Umm because dogs are domesticated? And used to humans? |
No problem. And please don't let your toddler run up to my dog without asking, as she is afraid of children. |
+1 I can't stand dog owners who think everyone should love their animal. They are usually horrible pet owners anyway with untrained animals. |
This is not true, certainly not of every dog. Remember that PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW YOUR DOG. They are all strange, unpredictable, and potentially dangerous. Your dog is your responsibility to manage - not everybody else's to put up with. |
