Do women in DC hit on married men?

Sadly, I haven't found this to be true.

There are dumb, pathetic gold-digging whores in this area too.

Many drive in from Gaithersburg, Silver Spring, Laurel, etc to try to find a sugar daddy.

My DH has never been hit on.

Have you heard about what happens on the Hill? Though I'm not sure how to classify the who's hitting on who part, but the men are almost always married.

Oh, please do tell. I see a summer blockbuster book-in-the-making with options for a prime cable show, or perhaps a Hollywood movie.

This is a load of crap. Seriously, say there are 12 single women for every 10 single men. So in a room of 22 people hypothetically two people would not have a partner. Big deal. There are always single professional guys out there looking for dates. It's not like they are off fighting a war in wound up in prison.

Believe it is a load of crap at your peril. Among certain demographics, there is a big gap and that plays out on the dating scene.

Which demographics? What gap? Please elucidate on your theory so we can follow it? Thanks.

Is this at work functions, or more public places like bars?

This is so disappointing. Are they hitting on the attractive men? The wealthy men? Or the powerful, connected men?

Who cares? If your husband's not interested, you shouldn't care a whit if he's surrounded by half-naked single women hitting on him.

I spent a LOT of time in bars in my 20s-30s and there were always, always married men hitting on women and vice versa. Some would get rebuffed and go to the men's room and return without their rings.

Married men hit on single women all the time.

I would be more concerned if this behavior is common in the professional, work environment. Most DHs spend many countless hours at work in this town, and being older they may make more money or hold more power than their younger, single colleagues. If this type of "conscious coupling" is common in the professional environment -- as opposed to bars and restaurants -- it might bother quite a few people.

And vice-versa. Although if I were a married man today I would read a cautionary tale into the current college scandals. Today's young, educated women are not objects of desire to be used, or messed around with on a whim.

Right, but that means that the powerful, married men are untrustworthy. Are you suggesting that DC's hordes of unmarried, nymphomaniac women are driving otherwise fine and upstanding men to cheat? Or did these worried wives marry men with wandering eyes?

LOL a friend in his early 50's started online dating. We ask how's it going? He says every week he gets like one or two 20 somes hitting his profile for a sugar daddy.
