What? I've never head this. We have sensitive skin and allergy issues and no one has had a problem with Dr. Bonner's baby soap. (We do have reactions from the scented versions, though -- wheels on the skin and headaches.)

Doesn't matter if you've heard of it before or not, it's my experience with the product. Even properly diluted, it caused redness and irritation for me and my baby.

I believe you. I'm just saying I've never heard that. We have all kinds of allergies and this is the mildest soap we've found. (Thought ONLY the baby version, NOT any of the others.) Are you sure you're just using the baby soap and not a scented soap?

For real? Yes, I am sure it was the baby-mild kind, because I am literate. Different people have different sensitivities to the various ingredients. It's great that you found it so mild, but for me and others on this thread, that was not our experience...and not because we got it mixed up with one of the scented versions.

No reason to be a jerk about it.

She's not being a jerk. You're the one who asked her if she'd gotten the soaps confused.

Yes, I did. No reason to get all offended and insulted about asking a simple question about baby soap. How prickly must you all be on other subjects.....

Thanks, PP. I don't think I'm being a jerk about it, either. I guess I don't get what's so hard to accept about this soap being irritating for some people. *shrug*

You're welcome, and you aren't. People get really up in arms when one of their sacred cows - even soapy ones - isn't universally beloved. Castile soap makes my skin itch like crazy and feel totally slimy and unclean, so I wouldn't use it on my kids.

Wow, now this thread got reported! Who knew soap would be so interesting?

Castile soap is controversial. DH doesn't like it. I buy special soap from Canada because I don't like Dr. Bronners. Other people like it, though.

Zzzzzz. This is the most boring reported thread ever. Your hormones are making you crazy!

If you want soap controversy, let's roll!

Scented soaps from Bath and Body Works, combined with their scentes splash.

Discuss.

Plus an air freshener plug-in hidden behind the toilet. YUM!
