It didn't fit well.
You know the way an ill fitting skirt pulls across the lap. I'm surprised it wasn't tailored better. It wasn't my favorite and I'm a huge Michelle Obama fan. |
I think that dress is the color of mountain dew....but I love it. I think she looked fabulous. It worked very well with the cardigan under it for the luncheon (without the overcoat). I'm impressed. Who would think they could pull of that color - she did! |
The dress looked less sparkly on TV than it did in web photos. The fabric just looked so thick and heavy, hope it was warm. I'm looking forward to seeing what she wears tonight.
My favorite fashion item was Bush 41's fur hat. He's the only one who was dressed for the weather. ![]() |
She was wearing olive green gloves (classy), so that must mean the dress had some tone of green in it.
She definitely need less sparkle and a hat would have helped keep her hair out of her face. Her hair was blowing around in the wind all morning. Girls definitely get the fashion awards for the family. |
The dress was yellow, paired with green gloves and shoes.

maybe she was trying to inspire bold change with her outfit. I like it. I wish DC would think outside the conservative box once in a while when it comes to fashion. Michelle's got her own flair in our sea of suits. |
The dress was terrible on her figure, looked like a sack. |
I loved it. The color looked beautiful on her. |
I got a chuckle when I saw this. I knew I could count on my friends on DCUM to think as I do.
I liked it just okay. It did not show off her cute shape and lacked the vibrant color I like her in. It was stately and sophisticated and most of all, it was all about the girl I love! |
whatever she looks like now, she will look 100% better when she gets her whitehouse make over. Go OBAMA!!!!! |
I love her. She looked great. The dress was an outstanding color. It had vintage elements to it but was sunny and modern too. Just like them. She is a class act. The girls looked adorable. He looked great too, by the way. Would agree that another dress may have "shown off" her figure more, but not sure we really should be too concerned with her figure. It will be fun to see what she wears tonight.
Also agree on Hillary comments. She looks like she has put on weight, which doesn't matter other than I think she does that when she is stressed. I felt a bit bad for her today. Mrs. Laura Bush was appropriate and very subdued. Mrs. Biden has a fabulous figure (since we are commenting) and wears clothes that are very nice, but perhaps slightly too young? Maybe I am just being stodgy. I liked that she let Michelle stand out today. |
I liked the color of the dress but it did not go with those green shoes and gloves - awful! It would have looked much better paired with black. Forget about Michelle - what about Jill Biden? I love boots but I thought her outfit was too casual and her skirt was too short! |
She looked like she was freezing. |
My first impression also was that it was not warm enough |
Why does everyone criticize what women wear and never what the men wear? Can anyone even remember what Obama was wearing? |
