Highlands of Scotland.

The clouds roll dark and low, the wind howls, the dark granite castle sounds positively haunted and you start believing in all kinds of pixies...
And then the rain stops, the clouds part just a little to let the sun shine though at the horizon: two rainbows, one above the other. And the heather starts glowing with many colors, the lake turns all fiery, the sheep gleam white.

I used to live there.

I think Tennessee in autumn is spectacular. And I've been to a lot of damn places.

Another one for Bryce Canyon. We also went to Zion National Park on the same trip and hiked the Narrows - one of the best things we ever did and I am normally not a hiker type.

New Zealand is also spectacular, along with Fraser Island in Australia. Magical.

The winding road always makes me feel a little squamish.

Paradise Island Cove in 1980. Went back for a visit last year and they had built a large hotel complex and they'd turned the paradise cove into one of the biggest tourist trap shit holes I've ever seen in my life.
