Which clinic did you prefer?

20:36, did you encounter any insurance issues with consulting at more than one practice? I currently am booked at both SG and DF, thinking that after an initial consult I will better know (1) costs, (2) convenience of location for procedures, (3) gut feeling about competence and patient care, (4) differences in approach, if they outline differing next steps. However, I'm a bit afraid my insurance company is going to balk when two different clinics call them!

I'm sure I'll get flamed, but during one of my IVF monitoring appointments I had no one to watch my son. I brought the iPad and kept him right next to me. I felt terrible, but the staff was fine with it. It was a quick blood draw. I wouldn't do it on a sono day.

No flame at all, when my first was born I had to bring her to follow up procedures at the ob/gyn out of necessity. If someone opened an ob/gyn office with an attached daycare, they could charge anything they want, LOL. In fact, I made my appt with Dominion based on your post...SG has a policy of not allowing children in the waiting rooms at all.

Don't most people bring their newborns with them to their first post-partum visits? I saw tons of babies in my OB practice's waiting room.

PP again. Just saying that's a bit different from bringing babies/kids to RE office.

20:36 here. It was a while ago, but I don't think that I had any issues with insurance. It's basically like getting a second opinion for anything else, and it's two doctor visits, not procedures. Of course, each insurance plan is different. I did have to pay out of pocket for my phone consults with at least one out-of-state clinic (CCRM), not sure about others. And then I had to pay everything else out of pocket as well.
