Tacky.
Fine. Fine depending on age (babies/toddlers, fine, older not so much). |
All cute. ![]() If I had an extra $100, I would totally dress my daughter and her American Girl the same. Twins dressing alike is cute until like... 3. Or whenever they start expressing an opinion about clothes. |
Matching - tacky. Coordinated can be cute. DD is just under a year and I think it's fun when our colors go together (think her in a blue and white flowered romper and me in blue striped tank with cardigan).
Doll and kid is cute - at a young age. I got a doll for Christmas when I was 3 and my mom had made a dress for the doll that matched the dress she made me. I was SO proud of it. Twins - I like coordinated better than matchy. Same shirts different colors, could be cute. Only tacky if the outfit is tacky to begin with. |
I'd have said tacky on all of these once. But then someone made matching hats for me and my newborn last time. I nearly died of cuteness. |

All cute if it makes y'all happy. |
1- Cute on special occasions sometimes.
2- Cute if girl wants it. 3- I've come around to cute. I never dressed my fraternal twin girls identically. Same outfit in different colors is as close as I got sometimes. But around age 5 they started asking for identical clothes- they wanted it! So I now have a couple of matching outfits for them and have to admit they are adorable in them. Or maybe they seem adorable because they are so happy in them and like to pretend we can't tell them apart and laugh hysterically when we "guess" incorrectly which is which. |
My mom is 73. She and her identical twin still dress alike, mostly by accident. It's NOT cute. |
