Yes, I agree. I think this matter is different from a more simple contract review with an employment lawyer covering golden parachute clauses and cause for dismissal, etc...

I am ignorant. I love Google and the "dummies" series, but I know when I need to ask the experts. Please help.

While I don't name referrals on here, because one gets accused of trolling for clients, I know for a fact that there are law firms in DC that could totally help you. A good use of google is to connect with them. A good meeting with a skilled and knowledgeable lawyer who will give you his cell number and respond quickly to your emails etc. It will cost you but should be worth it for the confidence you will gain.
