We feel the same. I think for us it has to do with experienced teachers. Experienced with AAP or at least the grade level being taught. Putting new teachers in the position is fine, but then they're learning the curriculum along with the students so we find there is much less enrichment available to kids who should receive it. |
| Our teacher at Lemon Road had never taught AAP before and is one of the best teachers we have ever had. She is doing a great job. |
| this AAP center is the worst you can get (my kid is there right now) -- dont go there by all means!! and it can only get worse!!! |
| I know two children at Lemon Road who are probably geniuses and their parents love the center and are very active in the school. Not sure why it's so awful for yours. Sounds like you think every AAP center is like Haycock. |
Can you explain what you don't like and why you think it will get worse? Wouldn't you expect a new AAP center to improve over time? Without details, this just seems like a hit-and-run attack on Lemon Road, similar to some posts about Haycock, Langley, etc. |

They say any publicity is good publicity. The PP rant gives me a reason to tell you how my family feels.
We are very happy at LRES. Teachers care about the students. Small, caring community. The people I know who are unhappy are the same who complained about things at their base school and are the same people who would probably complain about something anywhere they landed. It is what you make it. If you are not happy, do something to fix it. Volunteer. Help the teacher. Have a good attitude and things change. Amazing how that works. |
+1. |
| you can only do so much to fix a system which wasnt meant to be built for the purpose -- the purpose itself could be defined very differently. |
I think you'll need two fortune cookies to stuff that into. |
