How to get ADHD diagnosis?

| My son had ADHD inattentive type. He taught himself to read at age 3.5 yrs old. He loves to read. He has trouble focusing in school when he feels bored (basically that's most of the time). Not all ADHD kids have academic issues. Mine gets mostly all As and is in GT classes. He is mostly a behavior issue and is now on medication. |

If you talk to the right psychiatrist you will not have any trouble getting a diagnosis and meds for your child. Every child is ADHD nowadays, if you just want it enough  I'm sorry, in most cases diagnosed ADHD is just a matter for people to make money on meds and therapies. Having to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for a diagnosis is only one very fat red flag. I wonder when the ADHD hype is going to subside and kids are finally not being put under meds anymore -.-
