How many is too many credit cards?

We have a joint visa, and I have a mc. Any more is ridiculous, IMO. Why would you need more than that? Seems riskier in so many ways.

I just went to two and think its silly. I have so many fraud alerts set up.

NP. To me, only risk is losing control. Or perhaps increased odds of identity theft.
