Good point--didn't look that far. Thanks!

PK4 WL has moved as well. Not enough for me to care...but it's moving. Someone is going to get lucky

No, I think there will be new PK4 spots next year. At this morning's tour, the admin said there would be 3 PS3 classes of 16 each. PK4 classes are always a bit bigger--I think she said 18 was the ideal--and for K & beyond they need an even # of classes for the every-other-day immersion. Maybe next year they'll try to admit a full slate at PS3, which would kill PK4 as an entry year. But next year it will still be an entry year. |
| Welcome, new parents! I hope you love the school as much as we do. |
It doesn't mean they added students to classes at all. It could just mean that once all the lottery slots and siblings shook out, there were 1 or 2 (or 4!) slots, or that someone said no even after getting their app in so early. It could mean a few things, but not necessarily that they filled up the classes as originally planned and then added kids. |
We were pretty far down in the list and only moved 1 spot. |
| We were in the top five for first and LOST one spot. |
There were 5 nonsibling spots. It is also possible that a sibling declined the spot. I could see a family that knows they can get in as a preK 4 sibling decide that their child would be better off in a different preS 3 setting. Longer naps, small setting, English, still home with mom/dad/grandpa, all kinds of possible reasons for a sibling to pass of preS 3. |
| 20:29, that is my hope. If I were already a YY parent, I'd wait another year and start in PK4. But since I need to jump at any chance I can get, I waited in line in the cold and for a WL number that probably isn't good enough to get a spot for PS3. |
Just a random guess, I have no inside knowledge. I know how stressful it is to be trapped in WL Hell. |
