I'm very impressed by this!

My cat is obsessed with running water and will meow constantly until you turn on the faucet in the powder bath, and if you even look like you are heading up the stairs, he will nearly kill you trying to run up the stairs to jump in the tub and wait for you to turn on the faucet. Ugh!!! It use to be cute, now just plain annoying!!

Mine too, PP! My tub is separate from the shower and I don't use it, so it's kind of his now. He jumps in the tub and stares at me until I turn on the faucet. Sometimes he plays in the "waterfall" but more often he goes to the end of the tub and splashes around near the drain. He's also obsessed by a beautiful blue stone I placed in the tub to make the water flow "more interesting." He MUST move it if it's resting against the side ... apparently he prefers an unobstructed flow

He's also obsessed with an old box where he plays Jack in the Box. He jumps in and I say, "Where's 'his name' ? Then every 15 seconds or so, he stands up straight andlifts the lid with his head - he'll play this for a couple minutes.

He's 14 and ya know what ... I'm realizing that I AM obsessed with HIM, HA!

I think I'm just one Muumuu or house dress away from being a cat lady I also just realized after typing it out that "Muumuu" sound a little to close to Mew Mew... oh my G*D ... it's DESTINY.

This is a cry for help.

When she was a young cat in the early 2000s or so she had a thing where she'd go around my room prying the thumbtacks holding my posters out of the walls which caused the posters to fall. But instead of playing with them she'd quietly hold them in her mouth until I held my hand under her chin and say "Imzadi, give them back." at which point she would always immediately spit them all into my hand. She's the only cat I've ever known to have a weird obsession with thumbtacks until stumbling across this post. Imzadi lived to be 15 years old and had a happy, healthy life in which she was the center of our household along with her daughter and best friend Flukie, (a calico who passed a few years after Imzadi), Now, whenever a tack mysteriously falls from my wall I just think it's Imzadi nd Flukie saying hello.

Skayda! Awwww, my heart. I didn't even realize it was an old thread - who cares! I know you miss her ENDLESSY ... and a tuxxie! They are always WONDERFUL! And her name, Imzadi! I looked it up and it may be one of the most brilliant cat names EVER ... "soulmate!"

So I too believe your little soulmate is saying "hello and I'll see you again" whenever a tack falls.. sort of like the line from the film It's A Wonderful Life ..."everytime a bell rings, an angel get's his wings."

Skayda + Imzadi = LOVE!

I'm such a nerd but I loved this post - thanl you for statting my day off in a nice way...

You forgot to ask the classic DCUM question:
Is this tacky?

My cat is obsessed with rubber bands. I am extremely careful never to leave any out. If he finds one he will seize it in his mouth and run under my bed to chew on it.

I've got a plastic chewer too. Plastic bags and especially the plastic that fast food places used to wrap their forks/knives/spoons are his absolute favorite things in the world.

Our cat also does this.

My cat is BFF with our 5-gallon water cooler. It gurgles and hums when plugged in. He sleeps next to it on top of the wine fridge every day.

He also sits jumps up and sits on top of the jug. When the water gets low he uses his head and shoulders to push it off the stand and onto the floor. Makes a huge mess. He also just learned how to hold the lever down to get the water to come out. This makes an even bigger mess. He is in heaven.

One of my cats ate an apple this morning and gapped a pear he somehow managed to get out of a box with a lid on it.

Another cat jumps around like a baby goat.

The oldest one meows very loudly until I put her on the cabinet. Everyday.

I am that cat lady. They are my children.

Their litter boxes are on area rugs, cleaned at least 3 times a day or more. Replaced every 6 months.

Fresh water and food daily. I'm not a cat hoarder.

My kitty eats cardboard boxes, plastic bags, thumbtacks, screws even recently choked on a glow stick! Is there a medicine for that?7

Cats are just weird.

Quirky, silly little creatures.

Gotta love ‘em!

I have two cats (bro and sister) that are obsessed with thumb tacks! Plastic, metal it does not matter! They rip down calendars, my kids artwork or anything put up with a tack...I’m loosing my mind...gonna have to give in and remove everything in house I have up with tacks

My cat is obsessed with hair elastics. She will push them under the bathroom door when I'm in there, hoping I will zap them across the room for her to chase. This used to be great in terms of exercise for her until she started swallowing them.

I would worry about the thumb tacks. Can you replace with real picture hooks?
