I am planting perriwinkle (vinca) throughout my sloped yard.. It really grows well in this area.

OK is your slope in the sun or shade? That makes a difference in what you can plant.

Creeping Phlox

I love creeping phlox but as my yard matured and the trees filled in I lost it all due to shade.

I have friends that have used daisies, black eyed susans and day lillies. I gave them to my friends for their sloped areas and I'd be happy to give you a bunch for free if you want to trek to Franconia. I'm from the midwest and we use the daylillies in the ditches alongside the road so they don't erode and so we don't have to mow the ditches! The daisies, black eyed susans and daylillies all spread so it won't be long before your area will be lush! If the area is shady, I've also got Lenten Rose and Lilly of the Valley you can have. I wouldn't plant mint because it really is invasive by root and by seed. Vinca is also invasive and wintergreen is expensive and slow growing.

OP:

I didn't know this thread was still going, thanks so much! I actually got some creeping phlox today to try out! I love all the ideas, and I really appreciate the lillies and daisies offer, but I don't have a car. I will keep working on it and let you know.
